About
I have a PhD in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). I specialize in various anxiety disorders, mood disorders and eating disorders. I do individual psychotherapy in French and in English using the cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT) and the humanistic approach. CBT is based on the premise that we have learned ways of doing and thinking from our environment that can lead to certain difficulties and that examining our thoughts, behaviors and emotions and the links between them can lead to change.
I also believe that the present moment and therefore the therapeutic relationship is significant and that it is important to use it. Our different life experiences allow us to learn and to move towards a future of our own. I adapt the therapy to the needs of the person, whether it is through concrete exercises for a specific situation or through the exploration of relational dynamics and experiences from childhood.
